AI Studio lets you work directly with Gemini Pro, Flash, and Vision models.

Google AI Studio is a free and versatile platform that allows rapid prototyping of AI-powered solutions using the full suite of Gemini models. This includes Gemini Pro for text generation and reasoning, Gemini 2.5 Flash for faster and more lightweight deployments, and Gemini Vision for multimodal tasks involving both text and images. At present, full Live features—including screen sharing and camera integration—are available primarily on the latest Android devices that support Gemini Live, such as Google Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy S25, and flagship OnePlus models. These devices leverage Google’s latest hardware and software optimizations to deliver fast, reliable, and secure live AI experiences.


On desktop, the experience is nearly identical when accessed via Google Chrome in desktop mode. Users can share their screen, interact by voice, and even upload images without installing extra software. AI Studio’s browser-based nature ensures that updates and new features are delivered seamlessly.



For iOS and iPadOS users, and for older Android tablets, the rollout is ongoing. Google is gradually expanding support but acknowledges some limitations—such as session crashes or black screens in live mode—especially on older hardware or browsers. To ensure the best experience, Google recommends devices with at least 2 GB of RAM, a recent version of the operating system, and a stable internet connection. Even where Live mode isn’t fully available, users still have access to the core AI Studio features: prompt testing, code export, and multimodal experiments using text and image.

Organizations interested in deploying Gemini Live features at scale should check device compatibility lists and plan for phased adoption, especially in mixed-device environments.
