Adobe brings its CX Enterprise Coworker agent to Gemini and Databricks Genie

Adobe announced on November 4, 2026 that CX Enterprise Coworker, its agentic system for running customer experience work across Adobe's marketing software, is now available inside Gemini for business and Databricks Genie. The two additions join ChatGPT, where Coworker runs as a plugin, Claude and Microsoft Copilot, so the agent can now be reached from five third-party AI platforms. Adobe also said that support in Amazon Quick, IBM and Snowflake is expected soon, without giving dates.
The announcement, issued from San Jose, bundles three other pieces of news with the platform expansion. Adobe launched new connectors built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that link Coworker to systems outside Adobe, including Amazon Ads, Databricks Genie, Demandbase, a Meta server for ad campaigns, Microsoft Work IQ, RainFocus and Snowflake Cortex AI. A group of systems integrators is building industry-specific solutions on top of the agent, and six large advertising holding companies are customizing it with their own tools for shared clients.
For marketing teams, the practical change is where the agent lives. A marketer who spends the day in Gemini, Copilot or ChatGPT can ask Coworker about audiences, journeys, campaign results and Workfront projects without opening Adobe's own interfaces, and the agent answers with the data and permissions tied to that person's Adobe identity. Adobe's documentation states that using Coworker in AI platforms carries no additional cost beyond the CX Enterprise Coworker license, with usage drawn from the same AI credits as the rest of the product.
The release is also a consolidation of work that began earlier in the year. Adobe made CX Enterprise Coworker available on June 19, 2026, listing Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT as places to reach it, and the ChatGPT plugin went live on September 29, 2026. Gemini for business and Databricks Genie are the platforms that did not appear in those earlier materials, and Adobe's setup guide for AI platforms, last updated on October 28, still documents only Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude.

WHAT ADOBE CX ENTERPRISE COWORKER DOES INSIDE CHATGPT, CLAUDE AND GEMINI.
Adobe describes CX Enterprise Coworker as the successor to its earlier AI Assistant for Experience Cloud. The older assistant answered one question at a time, while Coworker accepts a goal and parameters and then plans and carries out several actions, such as building a customer journey, keeping an audience up to date or routing assets for approval. It keeps preferences and context from earlier sessions, and Adobe says existing AI Assistant customers receive the new functionality without taking any action, on a rolling schedule that account teams can confirm.
The product is organized into three modules. Coworker Chat handles everyday questions and one-off tasks in natural language, Coworker Campaigns takes a campaign from a stated goal to a live launch with on-brand assets, and Coworker Projects manages cross-functional workflows with approval checkpoints and a configurable degree of autonomy at each stage. Adobe lists six underlying capabilities: a business taxonomy, governance, long-term memory, agentic skills, an agentic workflow builder and team collaboration.
In the November 4 announcement Adobe summarizes the work Coworker performs as campaign analytics, audience forecasting, journey optimization, and planning and work management. The September material on the ChatGPT plugin gives more concrete examples. In one, a marketer asks which active journey has the highest drop-off in its first 24 hours; the agent identifies the step and the audience overlap behind it, then builds and saves an activation-ready B2B segment that excludes contacts already in a nurture journey, using data from Adobe Experience Platform. In another, it searches Adobe Experience Manager assets in natural language for brand and compliance alignment and creates a Workfront project with priority, budget, tasks and a multi-stage approval chain.
The example prompts in Adobe's setup guide for AI platforms are simpler and closer to day-to-day use: showing the top five audiences, showing a metric for the last month, listing active Workfront projects, or finding journeys that target loyalty audiences. Adobe groups the supported use cases into campaign planning and review, journey and readiness monitoring, audience insights such as size, engagement and segment growth, workflow and content optimization with visual campaign reports, and ad hoc questions during meetings.

Databricks Genie appears twice in the announcement: once as a platform where Coworker is available and once among the partners covered by the new MCP connectors. Google's statement in the release refers specifically to integrating Coworker into Gemini for business, so the integration targets Google's business offering and should not be read as a feature of the consumer Gemini app. Adobe does not attach a beta or preview label to any of the five live platforms; the release uses "now available" for them and "expected soon" for the three pending ones.

REQUIREMENTS, COST AND SETUP FOR CX ENTERPRISE COWORKER IN AI PLATFORMS.
The integrations are aimed at Adobe enterprise customers, and the requirements reflect that. An organization needs CX Enterprise Coworker provisioned, each user needs their own access to it in Adobe, and the company must run Adobe Experience Platform together with at least one of Adobe Real-Time CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer or Adobe Customer Journey Analytics. Each user also needs access to a supported AI platform. Adobe's documentation does not say which ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft 365 Copilot plans are required and tells customers to confirm that with each vendor.
On cost, Adobe states that Coworker in AI platforms is included in the CX Enterprise Coworker license and draws on the same AI credits as other Coworker features, so heavy use from inside ChatGPT or Copilot consumes the same pool as use inside Adobe's interfaces. Adobe has not published list prices for the license itself and directs interested companies to a consultation. When the ChatGPT plugin launched, Adobe said it was a launch partner for OpenAI's marketplace, where enterprises can apply existing OpenAI spend toward a CX Enterprise Coworker license.
Setup always starts with an administrator on the AI platform side. In Microsoft 365 Copilot, an admin confirms that tenant settings allow apps and agents from external publishers, approves Adobe CX Enterprise Coworker in both the Microsoft 365 admin center and the Teams admin center, and deploys it to selected users, groups or the whole organization; Adobe notes that the number of enabled users does not change setup or cost. Users then add it from Agents, More agents, and can use it in Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web chat. When Microsoft ships an update that needs new permissions, an admin has to approve it in the Agent Registry before it rolls out.
In ChatGPT, an administrator approves the plugin for selected users or the whole workspace, and users install it from the Plugins catalog. In Claude, an administrator gives the same approval, after which users open Customize, choose Discover under Connectors, search for Adobe CX Enterprise Coworker, select Connect to Claude and sign in with their Adobe credentials. Anthropic's recent change that lets plugins connect automatically for organizations is covered in our article on Claude plugins auto-connecting for Team and Enterprise, and earlier Adobe work inside ChatGPT is described in our report on the ChatGPT and Adobe integration for Photoshop, Acrobat, Express and Firefly.

THE NEW MCP CONNECTORS AND PARTNER BUILDS FOR CX ENTERPRISE COWORKER.
The second half of the announcement concerns the opposite direction: bringing outside data and tools into Coworker. Adobe launched pre-built MCP server integrations with technology partners including Amazon Ads, Databricks Genie, Demandbase, a Meta server for campaign ads, Microsoft Work IQ, RainFocus and Snowflake Cortex AI, and said others are included. Coworker is built on MCP and on the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, and Adobe's product page also lists connections to Jira, Slack and SharePoint.
The partner list is long. Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte Digital, EY, IBM, Infosys, PwC and TCS are building industry-specific agentic solutions on Coworker, while dentsu, Havas, Omnicom, Publicis, Stagwell and WPP are adding their own intellectual property, agents and tools for clients they share with Adobe. Rao Surapaneni of Google Cloud described the agent-to-agent approach as the next frontier of productivity, and Rob Howard of Microsoft said the partnership helps enterprises move from insight to action.
The figures Adobe has published about results come from its June launch and describe initial customer programs without sample sizes or methodology: 70% faster offer design and approval cycles, 60% fewer data onboarding delays and campaigns launched 60% faster. In September Adobe said Coworker already served more than 2,500 customers and early adopters. The November release adds no new performance or adoption numbers specific to the AI platform integrations.

DATA ACCESS, PERMISSIONS AND LIMITS OF COWORKER IN THIRD-PARTY AI PLATFORMS.
Adobe's documentation answers the question most security teams will ask first. Inside an AI platform, Coworker reflects the data and access level tied to the user's Adobe identity, matching what that person is entitled to in Experience Platform and the related applications, and no separate permission setup is needed. The AI platform versions are described as read-only: they do not modify customer data. Adobe also tells users to review generated summaries and analyses before using them for business decisions.
The broader product applies the same governance model. Coworker inherits roles, permissions, data policies and approval workflows from existing CX Enterprise applications, checks actions against those policies before running them, and keeps an audit trail of every action, policy decision and human approval. That description covers the full product in Adobe's interfaces, where Coworker can carry out changes such as building segments or creating Workfront projects, while the AI platform documentation limits the third-party versions to reading data.
There are documented gaps. Adobe does not list supported regions or data residency options for the AI platform integrations, does not describe the authentication flow for ChatGPT or Microsoft 365 Copilot, and states that customers cannot connect Coworker to their own agent harness through MCP. For troubleshooting, the guide's main advice is to sign out, sign back in with Adobe credentials and retry, and to contact the Adobe administrator about product access.

ADOBE CX ENTERPRISE COWORKER IN GEMINI AND DATABRICKS GENIE: CONFIRMED FACTS AND OPEN QUESTIONS.
The confirmed facts are clear. As of November 4, 2026, Adobe says CX Enterprise Coworker is available in ChatGPT as a plugin, Claude, Databricks Genie, Gemini for business and Microsoft Copilot, with Amazon Quick, IBM and Snowflake expected soon. New MCP connectors cover Amazon Ads, Databricks Genie, Demandbase, Meta campaign ads, Microsoft Work IQ, RainFocus and Snowflake Cortex AI. Adobe's documentation states that the AI platform access carries no extra charge beyond the Coworker license and uses the same AI credits, inherits each user's Adobe permissions and is read-only.
Several points remain open. Adobe has not yet published setup instructions for Gemini for business or Databricks Genie, has not said which plans of each AI platform are required, and has given no dates for Amazon Quick, IBM and Snowflake. The license price is not public, and the only performance figures are vendor-reported results from early programs. For Adobe customers already running Experience Platform with Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer or Customer Journey Analytics, the immediate step is to have the AI platform administrator approve the integration and to check with Adobe when the organization's Coworker enablement is scheduled, since the rollout across CX Enterprise applications is still running in waves.
