Anthropic merges Claude Cowork and Chat and launches Claude Docs and Claude Slides

Anthropic is consolidating Claude Chat and Claude Cowork into a single interface while introducing two new productivity environments, Claude Docs and Claude Slides.
The change reduces the number of separate surfaces users need to choose between before starting a task. Instead of deciding whether work belongs in Chat, Cowork, Design, or another Claude environment, users can begin from the same conversation and let Claude determine which capabilities are required.
